“The Psychic Scotsman”
Reading Between The Lines
By Helen Martin
“Douglas knew he had a benevolent gift, but didn’t use it until he found it accidentally encroaching on his treatment sessions as a Psychotherapist.”
“I found that my Psychic ability was having a better and more immediate effect than my psychology training. At the same time, some patients were alarmed that I could tell so much about them and it wasn’t professional mixing the two. So I concentrated on my Psychic work” he said.
“As a psychologist I am perhaps more receptive to the sub-conscious part of the mind. But I have no idea at all how the information gets there in the first place”.
Douglas works from his home in Earlston in the Scottish Borders and also from premises in Edinburgh and East Lothian using a variety of methods, but my reading was to be principally by Palmistry. As a backup, he laid out some Tarot cards but didn’t need to refer to them. He also uses a Crystal Pendulum for answering specific questions and generally calls on his Psychic and spiritualist powers.
The Reading
It began with a character analysis that was almost embarrassing in its accuracy and is designed to help the client understand themselves and so improve their future.
It was very blunt, painfully true and, because he even referred to identifiable events from the past it was also enlightening.
He spoke about my attitude towards and short-comings in, relationships, my childhood, schooldays and my present and my future.
Finally he handed me a list of Psychic predictions or observations he had made earlier in the day by “Tuning in” to me. Those which did not make sense now would do so in the future he promised.
My Verdict
I felt like an open book. Even with a psychology degree, there’s no way, other than psychic ability that he could have known so much.”
